Your BulletProof Wheeliebar solution for the Stampede, Rustler or Bandit.

Assembly Instructions

Included in your package:

  • (1) 9/64 Allen wrench
  • (1) 3/32 Allen Wrench
  • (2) 1-1/4" 8-32 Bolts
  • (2) 3/8" 8-32 Bolts
  • (2) 8-32 Nylock Nuts
  • (2) Lightweight Rubber Treaded Wheels
  • (1) Machined Axle
  • (1) Skidplate (Standard or Deflector Style)

What else you will need:

  • Your kit includes almost everything you will need for assembly. Besides threadlock. The only thing you must have onhand is a pair of pliers to hold the 8-32 locknut during wheel assembly. Alternatively, you can use an 11/32 nut driver.

Concerning Threadlock:

  • USE OF THREADLOCK IS CRITICAL. Your wheeliebar will DEFINITELY fall apart without it.
  • We were very proud of including MIP Threadlocker in the Swamibar kits. However MIP has discontinued this product and there is no one else in the marketplace providing small affordable packages of threadlock. As MIP has chosen to require their customers to have threadlock on hand, we must do the same. I am in the process of acquiring up as much MIP threadlock as possible through expensive retail channels. If possible I will provide it at cost (as an additional item) to you the customer.

Assembly:

  • Assemble the wheels

    • Insert a long bolt through one of the wheels and attach the locknut onto the long bolt.
    • Using the 9/64 wrench and pliers (or nut driver as pictured), thread the nut down until you have only a small gap left that will allow the wheel to spin freely.
    • Repeat for other wheel.
  • Apply a small amount of threadlock (not supplied) to the inner holes of the axle. This application is CRITICAL, your wheeliebar will fall apart without it.
  •

  • Using the 3/32 wrench and the short 3/8" screws, attach the plate to the axle. Push toward the screw while you tighten to avoid stripping the screw head.

  • Apply a small amount of threadlock (not supplied) to the outermost holes of the axle. This application is CRITICAL, your wheels will fall off without it.

  • Attach the wheels to the machined axle. Tighten until the nut is pushed against the axle and go 1/8 turn tighter. Tightening more will just bind up the wheel.

Attaching to Vehicle:

  • Remove the four 4x12mm screws from the skidplate on the bottom of your truck
  • Place SwamiBar over four holes of the skidplate
  • Replace the 4x12mm screws. They are plenty long enough even with the extra thickness the SwamiBar provides.
