
I have always liked the
look of lowered bodies. I think the stock body height is just WAY
to high. So I just cut up my front mounts like this. I chopped the
posts off the sides and shortened them. I then drilled a hole up
the center of each mount, and drilled a whole in the top of my shock
mount. I then just screwed some 3mm screws into it. You can see
where I filed away some plastic for tool access.
As for the backs, I cut
some really short mounts (from a pack of HPI Body Mounts) and bolted
them through the shock tower. This is extremely strong, and theres
been no trouble with it.
