I have always liked the look of lowered bodies. I think the stock body height is just WAY to high. So I just cut up my front mounts like this. I chopped the posts off the sides and shortened them. I then drilled a hole up the center of each mount, and drilled a whole in the top of my shock mount. I then just screwed some 3mm screws into it. You can see where I filed away some plastic for tool access.

As for the backs, I cut some really short mounts (from a pack of HPI Body Mounts) and bolted them through the shock tower. This is extremely strong, and theres been no trouble with it.



Here is what the lowered posts will get you. A body that is over an inch lower on that chassis.
