I decided
to go for a proven design. The ProLine
F-150 is a very popular body on the Stampede. It is designed
as a direct fit, but I wanted a Slammed look. I used the Lowered
Mounts again on this body.
I used
Parma
Big Drips Mask applied to the hood, roof, and doors. I
also masked off the bed with masking tape, to echo the ole
ClearPede theme.
The main
coat was Pactra
White Pearl. After removing the drip mask, I applied Pactra
Purple Pearl, and backed everything with Pactra
Indy Silver. I also picked up a sheet of Traxxas
Decals which included those purple decals shown below.
Long
after these pictures were taken, I added a thin layer of Pactra
Window Tint to all the clear portions. It looks really
nice like that.
Due to
the extreme lowering of the body, significant portions of
the front fenders needed to be cut away. I didn't even have
them sanded before these pictures were taken.
The stock
rims can look really decent if you put some white on the body
somewhere. This is still the body I use the most when I am
bashing. It is extremely tough.
This
body was featured in High Voltage I &
II, as well as Dirt Flinging Duo
